ANSWERS TO EVERYTHING

We’ve answered some of your most popular questions…

Product information

About down:

  • Down is defined as a unique three-dimensional cluster with the ability to trap air and add warmth without weight. It’s breathable and wicks away moisture while insulating.
  • Our products are hypoallergenic.

About fill power:

  • Fill power is a numerical designation for the volume one ounce of down occupies. The higher the value the more volume the one ounce will occupy. Fill power also provides an index for determining the lofting, insulation properties and quality of the down.
  • Our products have a 600 fill power.

About feathers:

  • Feathers are two dimensional and defined by having a spine. They provide body and recovery when used in down and feather blended pillows or all feather pillows.

About deco fillers:

  • We recommend deco fillers to be 1-2″ larger than the cover for all shapes except neckrolls, You only need to size up 1” for neckrolls.

About duvet inserts:

  • We recommend duvet inserts to be a minimum of 2 inches larger than the cover, so it fills out the cover as best as possible.

Understanding law tags for down-filled products:

  • There is no way to sort fiber pieces from down clusters. To maintain price point and integrity of our down product, the fill ratio is 75% pure down, and 25% down and feather fibers.

Baffle box vs, sewn-through duvet construction:

Baffle box features a vertical wall of fabric between boxes keeps fill evenly distributed, and allows the down to reach its maximum loft providing warmth and thickness.

By contrast, sewn-through duvet construction has two layers of fabric layered with fill sandwiched between them, then sewn together to help keep the fill evenly distributed.

Dry using the low heat. Dry well beyond the point where the outer fabric feels dry so that the inner down clusters will be fully dry – this often takes 3-4 cycles.
