How to Wash Your Pillows:
Washing your sleeping pillow requires a little more care than the average laundry load, but don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!

Repeat the rinse cycle an additional 1-2 times to ensure the detergent is completely removed.

Here are our favorite trade secrets to help you wash your sleeping pillows to get the purest clean available:
-
Sanitize your washer and dryer.
Because your washing machine harbors germs, we advise that you clean your machines while you wash your whites – wash separately in scolding water on the highest setting and with bleach. Not only will you sanitize your laundry load, but also the machine. Use this as a fresh start to ensure that your machines are clean and germs don’t linger!
-
Clean your mattress.
No need to be intimidated with this tip, cleaning your mattress is as quick and easy as a biannual vacuum (with an upholstery attachment), and a spot clean with cold water. Be mindful not to saturate the mattress, a damp mattress core could cause mildew.
-
Drying Tips.
Be sure and to keep the fluff in your sleeping pillow by adding dryer balls or tennis balls to the dryer; it’s really important to make sure your pillow is dry to help prevent mildew and bacteria growth! Our favorite trick to prevent mildew? A damp vinegar washcloth in the dryer will help dissolve any ickiness.
Let’s review. The best care for your pillow is to wash it 1-2 times a year. To keep your sleeping pillow clean, make sure you pair it with a zippered pillow protector – which also will extend the life of your pillow!
