We take Down & Feather sourcing seriously. At the top of our values are animal welfare, supply chain traceability and corporate responsibility.
Due to our high standards we went the extra mile and obtained an independent third-party supply chain certifications from International Down & Feather Laboratory (IDFL), a global leader in filled textile quality and assurance since 1978. IDFL conducted a comprehensive audit to verify that our Down & Feather suppliers are in accordance with the IDFL Down Standard for animal welfare and traceability.
This global standard certifies that our Down & Feather suppliers respect, and are in compliance with, the Five Freedoms of Animal Welfare and confirms: NO live plucking, NO force feeding and that our Down & Feather is only sourced as a byproduct from the food industry.

SUPPLY CHAIN TRACEABILITY

IDFL (International Down and Feather Laboratory)
Is an accredited auditing and certifying body for major textile standards including GOTS, GRS, OCS, RDS, DOWNPASS, RCS, RWS, IDS and J-TAS. It verifies the Down & Feather supply chain from farm-level to receipt by DOWN inc., and tests finished products, textiles, natural filling, and synthetic filling materials. All samples are double-tested to ensure accuracy results.
ADFC (American Down and Feather Council)
The ADFC, a section of the Home Fashion Products Association (HFPA), is a voluntary association of manufacturers, dealers, buyers, sellers and processors of feathers and down used in home fashion products. Founded in 2002, ADFC is committed to maintaining and improving the quality of down and feather products and advancing the common interests of the industry.

IDS (International Down Standard)
Verifies that down and feather products are ethically sourced. It allows processors, trade companies and manufacturers to demonstrate their ability to provide ethically produced materials and helps retailers and brands confirm their suppliers are producing materials ethically.

RDS (Responsible Down Standard)
Certifies products that contain feathers and down from certified farms. It ensures that the feathers and the duvet used in the padded products derive from geese and ducks raised in compliance with the principles and criteria of animal welfare. The scope of RDS include the full down supply chain from farms to slaughter facilities to the down processors and garment factories.
OCS (Organic Content Standard)
An international, voluntary standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of certified organic input and chain of custody. The primary goal for the OCS is to increase organic agriculture production.

GRS (Global Recycled Standard)
An international, voluntary, full product standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices and chemical restrictions
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100
Sets the benchmark for textile safety, from yarn to finished product. Every item bearing the STANDARD 100 label is certified as having passed safety tests for the presence of harmful substances.
