TENCEL™ is a branded lyocell fiber that comes from the pulp of eucalyptus trees. The trees are grown on sustainably run farms, certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). TENCEL™ can be used in place of other regenerated cellulose fibers such as viscose rayon. The benefits of using TENCEL™ include the traceable and sustainable origin of the wood pulp, and the use of non-toxic chemicals and solvents in the fiber processing. In addition, TENCEL™ is a high-tenacity cellulose fiber, which gives strength properties to the fabric.
