Down Inc. is an industry leader in natural and synthetic-filled bedding textiles. Established in 1963, Down Inc. specializes in down and feather bedding products for the residential, design and hospitality trades.
Essential to the quality of any down & feather product is the cleanliness, integrity and color consistency of the fill material. We are a part of the only vertical organization in the United States in regards to natural fill material - this makes Down Inc. truly unique. Within our corporate structure we personally control the processing of our Snow White DownTM and Feathers from the point-of-origin to completion of the finished goods. Down Inc. is truly unique within the down and feather industry. We are the only company in the U.S. that controls the quality of the natural fill material from the farm level through the manufactured finished good. We are able to do so because of our unique corporate structure.

Our parent company, Maple Leaf Farms, Inc., is the leading producer and innovator of duck products with a focus on delivering superior quality protein products to the restaurant and grocery channel of distribution. Located in Leesburg, Indiana the Maple Leaf flock is exclusively comprised of white Pekin duck. The pure white color of the feather material is a by-product of the duck farming operation and ideal for use in bedding products. The bright white color of the down & feather material from Maple Leaf Farms greatly enhances the visual appearance of the duvet inserts and pillows produced by Down Inc. |

Our fill material receives its initial wash at the farm level before being transported to the Eurasia Feather facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Upon arrival, Eurasia uses their unique DownGuardTM process to provide a dual-washed fill material. Eurasia, the largest international feather & down trader in North America, maintains strict quality control standards which ensures the fill material has been washed, sterilized and sorted properly. |

Down Inc. utilizes the exceptional fill material produced by Maple Leaf Farms and Eurasia Feather to make beautifully crafted bedding products. Over 90% of our filled bedding products are made with fill material that is a product of the USA. This means a nominal level of energy is consumed transporting the feathers compared to product imported from Asia. Our Snow White DownTM and Feathers move only 117 miles from the point-of-origin to the Down Inc. manufacturing facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Fill material from Asia travels over 7,000 miles to reach U.S. destinations. This makes Down Inc. a great choice if you are interested in a product with a lower carbon footprint. |
